Before FlashPoint: Before joining FlashPoint, Laverne held senior training and organizational development roles for Cox Media Group and the Atlanta Journal-Constitution where she served as a coach and advisor to executives and senior leaders focusing on strategies to promote healthy teams. Prior to her work in the media sector, Laverne served in various leadership roles for Delta Air Lines.

Education and Expertise: Laverne holds a bachelor’s degree in communications and psychology from Xavier University. Laverne is a Trained Facilitator of The Leadership Challenge^® Workshop, an LPI^® Trained Coach, Five Behaviors^® Accredited Facilitator, a Certified Everything DiSC^® Workplace^® Facilitator, and The 4 Stages of Psychological Safety™ Certified Facilitator and Coach. She holds behavioral assessment and training program certifications including Emotional Intelligence (EQ), 360◦ Feedback, Hogan Development Survey, Learning Agility, and Competency Card Sort and is a certified Birkman Consultant and Master Facilitator. Laverne’s coaching certifications include Executive Leadership Coaching Mastery from Harvard University, Team Diagnostic from Team Coaching International, and Life Coach from Coaches Training International.

After Work Hours:  As a native New Orleanian, you can find her in the kitchen preparing some of her favorite Cajun dishes. She even has a dog named Gumbeaux! After dinner, you’ll find her relaxing on her back porch, enjoying the harmony of her 10 sets of wind chimes.
